Yeah I don't get any comparsions to the Lewinski thing to national affairs. I think it was stupid of him to lie under oath. But, ok, he had an affair...who did this hurt/concern? The Lewinskis and the Clintons. How did this effect anything regarding the running of the country?

a lot of people blame Clinton for cutting back on military and intelligence funding and that's why 9/11 and bad intelligence re: Iraq happened.

I'm really shocked that people are comparing lying about a blow job in the oval office...to lying to our country & the world about the reasons for going to WAR.
Never heard of a blow job killing someone.
Lying about cheating on your wife and lying to get your country involved in WAR are worlds apart and IMO should never even share the same thought.
I don't CARE if Clinton was a lousy husband but I DEFINITELY care that people I know have DIED because of Bush's cowboy antics.

Actually, other countries couldn't believe that we were so hell bent over a BJ.

The reason it made us the laughing stock of the world is because we made such a big deal of it. In other countries their Presidents/Prime Ministers have mistress'. It's known and the people don't care. We are so sheltered when it comes to sex in this country. We walk around with out heads up our assess. The bigger issues seem to just get pushed aside. Now I am no fan of Clinton, but I was not a fan of how that was handled AT ALL.

Perhaps Congress could have directed some attention and funding...perhaps Kenneth Star could have been appointed to the Al-Queda inquiriy instead of investigating a president's extraMARITAL affair.
lest we forget, the republicans were on the witch hunt here...just as the democrats are on the witch hunt now. it's not for the "people" it's for party power.
