One of the few reasons I love this job, unlimited internet access 
(one of these days its gonna catch up to me, i know it  )
PS: Actually I guess if I tried to get onto a porno site or something, it would be blocked.. but I never tried

we have certain sites that are banned...like Ebay
And fortunoffs....that drove me crazy when i was a B2B

The dates sites are blocked- our IT guy told me one guy in particular was using them. File sharing sites and AOl are also blocked.

Oh yeah, I'm an idiot
I cannot use any instant messenger types of programs here, when you try downloading them it gives you a 'contact your site administrator for permission to dowload' messages.. (yes I've tried to download it  )
Since I doubt my IT/site admin people would assist me in downloading AIM (since they never help me with ANY COMPUTER ISSUES) I am thinking I should not contact them

flee- use AOL anywhere...lets you have your buddy list up without actually downloading hte program.

The funniest thing is that when you try a blocked site, you get a blue screen that says: PLEASE STOP LOOKING AT PORN AND GET BACK TO WORK.
Our IT guy is funny.

YES! We are completely filtered and clocked by so many sites, luckily LIF has not been one of them, we will see come Sept. . . .

Me too. I have a laptop and they have fewer restrictions on those at our company since we may need to dowload print drivers remotely.
But the desktops are REALLY restricted!! Lots of sites are banned.

We have some sites blocked. Like the Lotto site, I guess because it's gambling. Who knows.
Most people in our office are blocked from downloading any programs. But, since the type of work I do requires us to download certain programs or forms, I have administrator rights. I am very happy about that!!
