DAY Two Phase 2

bkfast - oatmeal, green tea
snack - strawberries, apple

. . . ok - so DH and I went into nyc to see a play and go to dinner for my bday so I CHEATED in a kinda big way.

had a salad, 4 oz of steak, some mashed potatoes (not allowed) some broccoli and . . .

chocolate cake as dessert - with vanilla ice cream!!!!

I know - I totally cheated. I'm back to the detox for the next two days.

but it tasted delicious!!!!!!



I cheated too yesterday with a small deli iced tea and then regular sode with dinner! Oh and one day before DH got home (because otherwise he'd yell at me!!), I had a Dove miniature ice cream thingy.

I'm actually having a phase 1 day today and going to the gym to try and reverse the damage - DH said that it's actually better to cheat a little - then go back to the diet - it shocks your system, especially if you've hit a plateau.

#2 - plum

#3 - white bean soup, salad, fresh turkey

#4 - yogurt

#5 - turkey, slice of cheese, white bean soup, cucumbers

THEN CHEATED LIKE MAD BECAUSE I WAS AT A PARTY WITH YUMMY STUFF!! I did have a lot of veggies (with dip) but really couldn't resist the weenies in blankets and pepperoni bread!!! Chat Icon

DAY SIX PHASE II

My day will most likely be messed up because I have a stress test at noon and can't eat solids for two hours before. I'll probably try to squeeze in some fruit before 10AM.

#2 - yogurt


So I was STARVING after the stress test and had chicken salad on a toasted whole wheat bagel Chat Icon Ah, what the heck - it was YUMMYChat Icon

morning - blueberries and strawberries.

I cheated on the drive to work - I had a sprite - but I felt a little nauseous and wanted one.

lunch - vegetable soup, apple

dinner - wedge salad and veggies

snack - baby carrots and hummus

and lots of water

I don't know anything about this diet, but from what I see on this thread it cuts down your protien intake - is this just in the beginning? Does anyone notice a difference in their hair, skin, nails?

My skin totally broke out on day 4 I think - it was AWFUL. But now my skin looks great - and I have had adult acne for the last decade.

I did just find out I'm pregnant - so the break out could be pregnancy related - but I'm going more with the detox acne reasoning.

Honestly, I really really like this diet. the detox was hard and I cant say that I'm following phase 1 to a tee, but I dont miss soda AT ALL - which is a shock to me. And I'm having no sweets or chips. I do have some bread from time to time, but I'm finding this diet easier and easier to follow.

oh - a food recommendation!!!!

At target they have an organics brand - Archer Farms. They have 100% fruit strips - rasperry, grape, strawberry and apricot.

45 calories each and it's 100% fruit. It's kind of like a fruit roll up but has a lot of flavor and is a nice variation from the raw fruit. I've been bringing them to work to snack on and they're yummy!

I have to admit I've been snacking a bit in the evenings. Generally I've been good - but yesterday I wanted salt so badly, so I had a bag of chips from the vending machine.

Today - bkfast - yogurt
snack - strawberries
lunch - caesar salad wrap sandwich - I know the wrap part isnt good - but I didnt have time to bring my lunch to work and this was the best option at the school deli.

I hear ya!! I cheated today by having chicken & broccoli with the sauce!! At least I had brown rice and veggies! And I went to Stop & Shop on my way into work to buy fruit to snak on during the day!

Day 13, Phase II

#1 cereal, banana, skim milk

#2 peach, plum

#3 chicken & broccoli, brown rice, EGG ROLL (GASP!! I couldn't resist!)

And the only other thing I had today was a granola bar running out to the gym. I may have a yogurt before I go to bed.

In any case, even with the *cheating* I feel like a success because I am a CARB addict and am doing pretty good staying away from those things that I LOVE.

PS: the dress was originally $99 and I got it for $17!!! BONUS!!!! Chat Icon

yesterday -

dinner- turkey breast sandwich - i know the bread is bad - but at least it was whole grain bread.

So I planned on being REALLY good today because I have a wedding tonight ... but I had to run an errand at lunch and got a chicken sandwich at McDonalds! Chat Icon
