DH was just in the other room and heard me playing it-he was so excited... lol. I never watched it, but apparently he did and loved it as a kid!!

How I loved the Magic Garden!! I actually bought tapes and have watched some shows with my god-daughter. She thought I was nuts as I sang along!

Wow! I used to have a record with Paula and Carole singing the songs from the show!
Question: Was the Magic Garden a local phenomenon? I remember asking some friends in college if they remembered it, and anyone who wasn't from New York looked at me like I was completely nuts. "Two hippie chicks on swings? A talking squirrel? Flowers that tell jokes?"

oh jeesh - want to know something - i went to see them live at westbury theater like 2 years ago. i was the only adult there that didnt have a kid with them.
i even have them on videotape.

I definitely remember that!!! (Holy Crap, I'm old!!!) I even caught it on some wierd TV channel that I never got before. Watched the whole thing. 
Anyone remember Joya's Fun School? I think it was only on Fridays. Magic Garden was M-Th.
Great post....brings back great memories!

I loved it too! They NEVER said my name  I remember watching the chuckle patch everyday and they never said my name. Thanks for naming me Dina, MOM! They said Dana, Diana, Diedre, Diane, etc. etc. Never did they say Dina, even after my mom wrote to them!
I am obviously scarred for life resulting from this traumatic experience

LOVED The Magic Garden...and the Chuckle Patch!!
We watched a video of some of the shows with my niece's a couple of years ago...the niece's were bored and DH & I were in shock at how low budget the show was (yet we loved it so much as kids)
You could practicaly see the people on the side of the screen pulling the strings to make the flowers move
And the hallucinogenics they (HAD to have) used back then..... It was so great to watch.
