nah, i think they're talking about Nassau - by the Old Westbury CC, Glen Cove Rd, Roslyn, etc.

One of the invasions happened right around the corner from my friend's house, in the smithtown area. This is so scary, I hope they catch these people!!

are you kidding? this is insane and out of control. my husband thinks I have gone psycho because I check every door and window at least 10 times. I am up all night long and just don't feel safe. He thinks I am going overboard and says it always has happened only now it is in the news. YEah there have always been robberies but this is constant.

Erm, can someone explain what's going on? Are these robberies that are happening that are suddenly all over the news? Or is it a bigger deal than that? Invasion kind of sounds like a swat team is entering the house.

I work 5 minutes from there...My Aunt and Uncle used to live in East Hills......
WOW the police really need to catch these guys
I am surprised there isnt enough DNA left behind for them to catch these guys, no finger prints, no hair, nothing...

I just find the whole thing frightening. I was talking to a friend who is a Nassau Det. and he said that it is almost impossible to trace these guys. They are leaving nothing behind...wearing gloves, hats, skimasks, etc.
Unless the people who are robbed can offer some i.d., it is next to impossible.
He said they have bumped up neighborhood patrols drastically and they have a whole task force, but it is impossible to be everywhere at all times.
All I know is Thank God we got a dog!!!

My friend told me last night. She lives in the Smithtown/Nesconset area. She didn't know details but her husband heard it from one of the neighbors.

I have an alarm and Im scared my biggest thing is what if the alarm does go off then what do I do. I obviously run to my son but my thing is Im a fighter and I know I wont be able to control myself from trying to fight back.
