I am new to LIFAMILIES...
Hello ladies... I am noth new to LIFamilies and to the pregnancy board!!! I am excited because I just found out that I am PG!!!! Took 3 Home Pregnancy Tests and they all came back positive!!!! I am soooo excited and have many questions! So here goes!
1. Let me begin by saying that I haven't been to the GYN in about 3 years because I am scared out of my mind! With that said I know I need to go pronto, but I have no clue of where to find a gentle, friendly and GOOD Gyn. I am in Queens and want to give birth at LIJ. So if anyone knows of any good docs in the Queens are who are affiliated with LIJ, could you please let me know!!!
2. I was supposed to get AF on Sunday and of course she was not there! So I took the tests and they both came back positieve... What do I do now?
Any information or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Both DH and I are EXTREMELY excited!!!!

I personally do not know any doctors from the Queens area, but my 2 cousins are from Queens and both gave birth from LIJ. I will ask them for some information

I don't have an answer for your first question but as said before, shcedule and appointment with a doctor asap and start taking your prenatals. I wish you a happy and healthy 9 months!

Congratulations. Dr. Richard Roberts has offices in Glendale, Flushing and great Neck and I believe he delivers at LIJ. I've been seeing him for years and he is wonderful. He has a partner who is a woman, Dr. Marty Gilbert.

I was also afraid of going to the OBGYN when I found out I was pregnant--infact, I was afraid of going to any kind of doc because I was afraid he would find something wrong with me! Needless to say, I had no choice and with every visit it gets easier and by the time you are mid way through your pregnancy you won't bat an eye when you attend your appointments!
