I just want to say Thank God this is a peaceful thread. I sometimes check out a Due in June 06 board and a circ debate erupted there that got ugly - really ugly, on both sides. It's nice to see everyone is respecting each others choices and reasons here.

We had Andrew circumsized and it was just something DH and I both discussed and agreed on.

I will be honest and say that at 1 year old, we had to take Andrew to a pediatric urologist to have some adhesions taken care of. He had a little "pocket of fat" (as the doc called it!) that made his pee-pee look like it has a turtle neck on it, and thankfully it was a quick and painless procedure and he was no worse for the wear and he is fine today.

But either way, bot require diligent care and cleaning.

We don't know what we're having, but DH had always said that he didn't want his son to be (even though HE is). I had also heard the same thing as written above -- that you do what the father is, so the son doesn't question why he looks different. So, DH agreed to have our son done if it's a boy. DH really didn't have a reason for not wanting it done, so it was really left up to me to decide.
