Where do you live and how long is your commute?
What do you consider an unreasonable commute to be?
I was living in Commack and commuting from the Huntington train station, my total commute was about an hour and twenty minutes. Now I live in Queens, and in an ideal situation my commute is about 40 minutes, but depending on how long I have to wait for the subway, it can be an hour (and sometimes more).
We are thinking about moving even further east than I lived before, but both of us work in the city, would it be unbearable?

I live in Kings Park and commute to Melville. However, my husband commutes to NYC and it takes him about 1 hour 15 minutes to get there. He's in mid-town.

My total commute is 15 minutes. 
I appreciate it every day when I'm running late and on my way home when I really just want to be at home.

I live in Baldwin and travel to Glen Cove for work. It takes almost an hour with traffic to get to work.

I commute Port Jeff to Melville and it takes about 45 minutes but I dont leave until 9 am

We live in Centereach. I commute to Melville (45 mins with usual traffic) and FH commuted to Uniondale (60 minutes with usual traffic). I'd rather work closer but after working in NYC for 8 years and being a slave to the LIRR, I actually don't mind the drive.

one hour and 15 minutes door to door if I make the express train in the morning. I do not have to take a subway. Ronkonkoma trains have many express trains. Under all circumstances I would rather use the LIRR than drive. This morning I had to drive in and it doubled my commute...and I had to leave the house at 6:15 instead of 6:45

9 with 'heavy' traffic, 5 if theres no traffic and i slam on the gas while the lights are still 'yellow'

mine went from half an hour one week ago (living and working in nyc) to an hour and a half door to door - I now live in Springfield, NJ. It sucks, but the good $$$ motivates me.

I live on Staten Island and commute to midtown and it takes me an hour minimum. It used to take two when I lived on the other end of SI. It is sad to me that I live in one of the five bouroghs and it takes me that long to get to work!
