I agree. this board gets more traffic than others. that's why people post things on here that may not belong... but they need/want lots of answers.

It wasn't a question posed to people who have already adopted or are in the process of adopting- and those are the people who use the adoption board-it was a quesiton posted to the general masses. That's why it was posted on NFR-

It would seem to make sense that those on the adoption board are either in the process of, considering or already have adopted. Why would someone start a thread such as the one in question on that board when they want answers from those who may not frequent that board in the first place. Of course the people on the adoption boards would adopt. That is why they are there. The thread belongs here where the general public can respond as that is the audience that was sought

Actually, I don't think it belongs in the adoption board. Just because we have a board with the same name doesn't mean the thread belongs there. Do people who are waiting to adopt really need to read the opinions of those who are opposed to adoption or who just don't see it for them?  Bad call!
