Another Janet & Keith Update
Copied from Ron's thread:
3/23 - Janet and her in-laws have not been seeing eye to eye on many things. Keith's wish was never to be on life support if there was no hope of recovery. Thus Janet gave the approval to remove it. But her in-laws said no. They now have to do "more" tests to confirm and prove once more that there is zero brain activity so the respirator can be removed!
I had always thought the spouse was the final say in these circumstances, in NY.

Oh no!
This has to be sooooo hard on all of them, but I can see his parents just want to make sure there is no chance of recovery.

As if the circumstances weren't so painful and unbelievably difficult to begin with.
His parents very well may be in denial of what the doctor's are saying It makes a tragic situation even more tragic when family members contest a health care decision.

I can't believe it....this is making a hard situation even harder. I understand how it's hard for someone to let go of a child, but I would think it would be harder to watch him suffer.
I hope and pray that the right decision will be made for the entire family's sake.

It is such a sad thing that people have to go through such things. As soon as me and FH got engaged we have papers written up to be eachothers power of attoney. And also wrote out statements and had notarized what our wishes were. I couldn't bear to go through something like this.
