I have an infection that is creeping thru my body AND I have pneumonia. I have been responding well to meds so my doc is going to let me go home and continue treatment with a home nurse. I did have to promise her that the second my stats change that I let her know and we check me out. We did get confirmation that the stuff removed from my lungs is NOT metastasized cancer which is a relief because the lungs are the number one place that ACC spreads.
While in the hospital we have learned that we did shrink the tumor in my head but we did not get it all. My doctors and I will be doing more tests over the next few weeks so that we can get a better view of my head. From there we will make a decision as to whether or not this is not resectable and a craniatomy is in order.
Put your seatbelts on, its gonna be a bumpy road!

oh, deb!!! i'm SO glad that it didn't spread to the lungs!!!!! and, that you get to go home!!!
is there any chance that the location moved a bit, so now they would be able to perform surgery to get it? I'm praying that that's the case... and that the tests come back to support that!!

YIPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! About time! I've been stalking your posts & now I can finally go to bed.
Excellent news about shrinkage (tumor, not shrinkage in general I'm sure that's still disturbing to the male population). Hope they're able to section it out & you can be done with this b.s.....um of course you'll still need the pain medication though....
So glad to read the update!!!!

That is wonderful news!! So glad it didn't show up in your lungs. Now you have to go home and work on getting better so they can check out that tumor and get rid of it once and for all.
