I love Scoops...cuz they sell Hershey's Ice Cream and I can get Moose Tracks
Close seconds are Carvel for Soft Serve, Kritsches(sp?) in Massapequa and Hicksville Sweet Shop for real homemade ice cream.
BTW, the few times I have been to Coldstone, I did tip them on the condition that they didn't sing and they didn't....I think it is the most annoying thing!

My favorite is International Delight Cafe in Rockville Centre. They serve Italian ice cream on top of a waffle. Plus I usually get strawberries and whipped cream on top!!

I have 2 places the first is this old fashion ice cream store on Straight Path in West Babylon. Second is Milk & Sugar in Bay Shore. My favorite flavor is Mint Chip at both.
They both make the ice cream on the premises.

Bellenger(?os something like that?) - Farmingdale town
Carvel - Soft Serve

I always say that when I'm there!
Coldstone is my favorite place for "specialty" ice cream, but if I just want a good old ice cream cone, I love friendlys or baskin robbins.

see now I only went that one time and we hit it just right, there was NO line .. and unless I am mistaken, I don't even think they sang 1 time while we were there!
but I think that WOULD be a dealbreaker for me!! Just gimme my ice cream, this isn't American Idol
I went the other night and they started singing. The girl was like 'Guys, we got a tip!!!" and they started signing. It was aweful.
DH almost was going to pretend to put a dollar in and take it out to see if they would stop singing
We LOVE going to McNulty's in Miller Place

Yes, McNulty's!!!!  It's not just an ice cream shop, it's a summer experience! I always feel taht it wasn't really summer if I didn't drive around for a half hour trying to find a parking spot just to stand on that line for another half hour!!!
