First Doctor's Appointment-UPDATED
Today is my first appointment and I am soooo nervous. I could hardly sleep last night and aside from being really sick this morning, My stomach is in knots.

OK-- I don't really know how to feel after this appointment. According to my calculations, I am 6 weeks. The Dr. said that according to the internal sono, it looks as if I am only 2 weeks after conception (4 weeks?) and being that my periods are irregular, his words were "cases like this often end in miscarriage."
So I asked him if I should be worried and he dodged my question. He said that he wants to see me next week to see if any progression has been made. 
How could I only be two weeks? Two weeks ago I expected AF and was late. Last I heard, you don't O the same time you expect AF. Furthermore, I felt my symptoms over 3 weeks ago.
Did this happen to anyone else? You look not so far along.

12:30. So, at around 2:00 you ladies will be hearing back from me. Thanks for all of your well wishes and good advice.

I would try to stay positive. If your period is irregular, then these things can happen. It is not uncommon for women to have their EDD changed later on in their pregnancy, so try not to worry too much. The best thing for you to do is to get through this week as calm as possible (stress isn't good on any pregnancy) and see what happens when you go back to the doctor.

It is possible that you ovulated late this cycle. Have you ever charted your cycles?

I read that sperm can survive 5 days in fertile quality CM, so you never know. I'm new at this, but I have read a lot about women having their HCG levels checked to make sure things are developing -- did you ask him about coming back for another blood test tomorrow?
