That so sux, but I have a question...is this subbing position in the city???
I ask because I THINK that if a sub remains a permanent sub in ONE classroom (without moving to another classroom / grade even for 1 day), after 30 (or 60 days, not sure), the pay increases and you are eligible for benefits.
In my old school, a friend came in and took over another friends' maternity leave. She remained a sub in the class for 7 months. She was moved to a different pay scale and received benefits. I can ask her if you'd like. Of course, this is all pending upon if the job is in the city or not.
Oh wait...just reread your post. I didn't see that it said "3 days a week." That principal is crafty!!! He/ She KNEW the eligibility of a permanent sub...that's why the 3 day thing. Real slick!!! I'm so sorry!!

Wow that stinks! I've never heard of that before, but school district are capable of a lot these days. They are constantly pulling one over on people (I know I'm a teacher)
