One of mine and DH's favorite show too. His favorite episode is when Laura Ingalls runs away after her little baby brother died and went to Jonathan's Mountain to pray to God to take her instead and bring back her brother to her parents.
The saddest episode was the blind school burning down. So tragic. What I'll never understand is why Mary didn't just grab the baby herself when Adam came in the room to get her???

I loved it and read all the books as a kid. I looked like Laura when I was a kid.
On my 21st birthday, I was in a bar with my brother and some drunk guy came up and told me I looked so familiar, that his wife and kid watched me all the time on TV. My brother said, "you mean Laura Ingalls?" and the guy shouted "YEAH!! That's you, isn't it?" and proceeded to buy me a drink 
My all t ime favorite episode is when Laura runs away to the mountain after the baby brother dies

I used to watch it every day at 5:00 with my mom.
I think one of my favorie episodes was when Laura & her friend Jonah found the fools gold and thought they were going to be rich - I loved her fantasies where her family owned the town and the Olsens were paupers!!

I loved that one too!!!
I loved when Mrs. Oleson called almanzo "zaldamo".
Almanzo was a cutie. But I thought Adam was adorable too!!

I saw Almonzo once in a production of Le Mis in Rochester. I was so excited that I actually knew one of the actors.
I think Nancy was WAYYY worse - I couldn't stand her!!

I think Nancy was worse, partly because I was older by then and found whiney girls even more annoying....
Also, the Nancy years were not the best of the show. I liked the early Mr. Edwards years!

You know what. You guys are right. Nancy was worst. I guess what I meant was who played the part of spoiled brat better. I say Nellie.
The girl who played Nancy was a horrible actress and the character was wayyyyyyy to whiny!!!!!!!!!
