Looking for idaes for Bedroom color ( Pics Please)
Hello all,
I am looking for ideas for our MB in the house we will be moving into. This is my first time actually having my room painted. If you have any other pics for other rooms that is appreciated as well.

We did a blue color and hate it....it is way too bright - so my advice to you is to DEF. try a sample before you paint your entire room.

What colors do you have in your comforter?

I actually have many sets that I rotate, depending on the season, Winter=darkers colors like black and gray or wine colored red. In the summer I have like creams and lilac colors.

I don't have any pics since we didn't actually paint it yet. But we are doing our MB in Cozy Cottage by Behr. It's a cream color.
My bedding set is Fieldcrest
different blues and greens.

We just last weekend painted our room with Behr's Nectarina (really terracotta if you ask me!) I have pictures at home that I will post tonight. We love the color. We are doing the trim in Vanilla Custard.

I had an idea to do a cocoa on the walls, a linen trim and a blue on the ceiling. I wound up choosing BM Driftwood for the walls and two colors from the same color strip for the ceiling and trim. Our room looks like a big cup of hot cocoa and I love it!
For bedding, we went with a set from Anthropologie:

Ok so, question. What happens when you pick the color from one particular bedspread and then you change your set, due to laundry ect. Do you make sure that you have other sets that would also match to the color. I want to get the full plan because my bedroom as always remined white so it went with everything.

I think if you pick neutral paint colors, you should be fine with alternating bedding.
With the cocoa color I can have blue bedding, creams, orange...along with the monochromatic look I have now (even though the bedding has cream and seafoam green in it as well as chocolate and gold - so right there I can add pillows or other accents to change around the look)...so I don't feel limited.
The BR in our apartment was a beautiful blue but I felt limited in color schemes.

If you want to be able to change bedding I would definitely stick to a very neutral color. I think something in the tan or creme family would def fit your color schemes listed above.
If you were looking for something a little bit more dramatic you could always accent the walls with some pictures/art or other decorative items to bring out multiple colors.

we painted our room a light green, i find it calming. I love coverlets so I usually just use neutral colors and accent pillows to match

Ok you ladies are good! I can check into the coverlet thing that has to be cheaper than buying diff comforters all the time plus my DH would freak. What about an accent wall in any?

Duvet's are a good alternative to comforter's too (that's what mine is...I'm using the cover now as a coverlet and come winter, will stuff a comforter in it).

I love coverlets I like the whole country thing, but I have a comforter underneath it.
Duvets are awesome also as Colleen stated... You need one nice quilt and you can cover it with a duvet

I don't have pictures but we painted my bedroom a very soft lavender color (maybe I do have pics from the day we were painting -- I'll look!) and it matches our quilt but if I ever change the quilt -- which I'm sure I will, I'd have to get something lavender again instead of something completely different if I want it to match.
I love the color but it does limit things a bit!
ETA: I don't know how well you can see it in these pics and my bed was a mess but that is the lavender wall color in the background. Image Attachment(s):

My living room is that color too... Behr makes one it looks about the same, I believe it was cup of cocoa or something like that...with Cocoa in it... we tried to find it at BM, but couldn't get it exact...

We haven't gotten around to doing our bedroom yet - we still need a new mattress, bed, furniture, bedding, everything!!!!!...but we did paint!

Here's ours. I have the paint colors in the basement.
They are both BM. I think the top is Cranberry glaze???
