My grandma was brought to the hospital and is on a breathing machine. She was pnemonia in her left lung and the drs are only giving her a 50/50 chance.
Since she has a DNR after 24-36 hours on the machine, they are taking her off. She will either breathe on her own, or that will be it. They can't do anything else because of the DNR.
Please pray that she has a speedy recovery and will be well enough to meet her great granddaughter on Monday.
2:36pm It's been a hard morning. I went to see her. She wasn't even suppose to have the breathing tube since she has a DNR but no one could find it. Before I left the hospital she was writing and trying to talk with the tubes in her mouth and she told me the baby will come when she dies.
Talk about a tear jerker. She is very neg. although, the doctors are saying her progress is looking good. They say its in her hands.
She believes my grandfather is calling for her and its time to go. She told my aunts/mom what she wants to be buried in and some last wishes.
I really hope she pulls through. I am very close to her. It kills me that on Thursday she was over for lunch and we played cards and was fine.
They removed the breathing machine and she is just on regular Oxygen. She is sitting up and talking according to my mom, but she's giving up. I hope she stays strong to meet her great granddaughter. I have a feeling that will give her some positive thoughts!
