Finished The Kite Runner and really loved it, he's a great writer.
Also read "Animal Farm" since I never read it in High School.
Just started "Love in the Time of Cholera".
Did you read his other book? A Thousand Splendid Suns?

Just started and almost finished with "Pretties" by Scott Westerfeld. I read Uglies about a year ago and meant to pick up the rest of the series, but never got around to it. It's very good- I'm kind of glad I'm reading it right after Brave New World- very much the same concept.

I'm trying to finish Mockingjay. I'm really not loving it... about 100 pages to go. I don't think anything will top the first two!

I don't know how you waited. I read all 6 books in a week I was so freaking addicted to them. I am literally going crazy not having a VA book to read. That by far has been the best series I've read. It topped Hunger Games for me.
I know, I don't know why I bothered waiting, but I really felt like I was getting ripped off with the costs of the books... I only held out for maybe a month though  I am going to bang out Mockingjay today at lunchtime and start on the rest of VA tonight!
I got lucky and my library had all the ebooks so I just did them back to back and 3 days later and I'm still having withdrawal jitters....LOL.
I finally broke down and bought book #1 of Vampire Academy- I'm going to finish the series I'm reading now and start on that! I wanna know what the fuss is about!

You'll be hooked (or at least I'll be surprised if you aren't). The first book was not my favorite but it was necessary to set the stage. I can assure you that each book gets better and better. Enjoy!!

I actually read A Thousand Splendid Suns first and then someone saw me on the train with it and said "You have to read The Kite Runner!" They are both awesome!

Interview with the Vampire is going really slow for me so I am reading

as well. I rarely read two books at once but I needed something that moved a little quicker.
I'm behind in what am I reading.
I'm on the 5th book of the House of Night Series- HUNTED.
Enjoying this series. Not as much as VA but it's still a good read and each book gets a little bit better.
Still stuck at Part II of Interview with the Vampire. I'll get it finished at some point.

I think this series totally picks up at book 3. I liked the first two and then loved it starting with book 3.
