Torn-Amanda Hocking (Book 2 of the Trylle Trilogy).
Loving these so far. Quick, fun and easy reads.
i never read books so fast as i did with Trylle and My Blood Approves series
I'll look into that series next.

Just finished The Town by Chuck Hogan and now I'm reading Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. I can't understand why we never read this book in school? It's very good and I can't believe it was written in the 1930's! So ahead of it's time!

Just finished The Town by Chuck Hogan and now I'm reading Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. I can't understand why we never read this book in school? It's very good and I can't believe it was written in the 1930's! So ahead of it's time!
i LOVE bnw!! I read it after hs, and then just re-read it like 3 weeks ago bc i was going to teach it
i think the problem is there are SO many undertones, many not so overt about sex and communism and eugenics and so many other "hot topics"
but he really was insanely ahead of his time-the helicopters amaze me

Yeah once I got to the second chapter I said "Oh, it's because I went to Catholic school and not public school."  But it's really amazing how ahead of his time he is. I mean, that book is more relevant now than ever!

Just finished The Water Wars by Cameron Stracher. It got a good review by the Nook blog but I was disappointed in it.
Started The Death Instinct by Jed Rubenfeld earlier today.
