I don't think it should be released. It is a death! Is nothing sacred anymore.
I think we have become so desensitived to watching people die in TV and movies that we cannot grasp the magnitude of a life ending, especially when it is so tragic as is this case with Steve Irwin. I have watched loved ones die before and it is such a sad, intimate moment. It needs to be treated with dignity and respect.
If it was released I woudln't want to watch it. I'll admit, I'm curious. But I am also afraid. I would be afraid that it woudl haunt me and give me nightmares. I also think its disrespectful to his memory.

He said that if something happened to him he would want it released for educational purposes.
I don't think it should be released. He had a lot of young fans who might try looking for the tape.

It should be private for the family to see...honestly the public really has no right to see that...its someone's husband and father...would you want video of your family member dying shown all over tv?

I don't think it should be released - and it's not. Teri said after the coroner reviews it...it is to be destroyed.

I wouldn't want to watch it. I'd be curious, but I wouldn't watch it. Also as far as the coroner releasing the video, let's just hope that he is respectful of Teri Irwin and not greedy for some $$$$$

This video should not be released just as I feel the Sept.11th movie should never have been made. These are not "stories". They are the actual deaths of real people...it should not be viewed as entertainment. It is just sick!

they were talking about it on the radio this morning- how the video shows him pulling out the stingray's tail from his chest
i dont think they should show the video of his death (or anyone's death...)
