Thanks..

Yeah, it takes DH about 45 minutes to get to work in Bridgewater, he's right on Rt. 22.

We're heading out that way next sunday to look for furniture, one of my coworkers told me I should check out Flemington Dept. Store.

Thanks for bumping, we just ordered all our bathroom fixtures for the master bath.

Ladybug, I hope you don't mind, but I gave our contractor pictures of your bathroom for our guest bath.

shamelessly bumping my own thread.

Construction starts tomorrow on the guest bathroom, followed by master bath. Will post pictures as renovations progress

can't wait to see the finished (and progress pics!)

and I have to ask... does anyone have any idea why pepto pink was such a "hot" color for older bathrooms? Chat Icon

I have seen that a lot in older homes.

I wish I knew! Our neighbor was telling us that one of their bathrooms is also pepto pink (both houses built in 1952). We have one more full bath upstairs that is powder blue. Not the best, but IMO far better than the pepto pink!

I think colored sinks/tubs/toilet's became popular in the 50s...along with the Art Deco color/era. It was a change from the simple pallette that was used throughout the 20s-40s.

*I think*

I've seen enough pastel bathrooms to last a lifetime! yellow, green, pink, blue - or sometimes they used a combo of them all Chat Icon
