I just saw the updates today. I am very sorry that your company let you go, obviously they have no heart. Good Luck today and I will be praying that your side affects are minimal. I know my brother has some slight side affects from some of the drugs they use to counteract chemo side affects but he has not had much trouble with the chemo itself.
Edited to add: I spoke with my mom and she said that if you filed paperwork for a Family Leave or Emergency Leave that they can not fire you while you are on Leave. At least that is what her HR person told her. She has one filed and on record for when my brother was in the hospital.

FMLA in FL only is required to hold my job for 12 weeks...they let me go at 12 weeks and 1 day.
Another update...it was chemo day 1 today. Here I am with my chemo stand getting my first dose.
