I don't think this needed to be posted today; a day when we are all remembering those we lost. We know people are all over the map on this topic and a day like today should be about unity not inciting additional conflict.

no offense, but I really don't care what you think.

this is a public forum.

I'm sorry, but this is a little harsh.

Crankypants was giving her opinion, and like you said it's a Public Forum, and she's entitled to her opinion as much as you are to post it.

Let's keep the peace among ourselves please.

You're right-It is a public forum and that's why I can add my two cents to your thread and will.

Beyond that-please feel free to incite people, open old wounds, and rehash an emotional debate today of all days. Sounds like a great way to commemorate the day.Chat Icon

No one meant to cause any drama. It was very maturely handled.

I for one don't mind. And I disagree with the cartoon. Why shouldn't it be posted? I respectfuly disagree and move on. Today is about unity, but we all have different opinions and feelings on many topics. Something about 9/11 should be posted on 9/11. What better day? JMHO.

I totally agree. It was the artists feeling about 9/11.

Yeah-I may have gone a little over board there-that whole "I don't care what you think" comment stuck in my craw. Sorry for the exaggeration.

My point-profiling is a topic that there is a lot of debate about as we've seen from previous threads. Today is not the day to start it up again.

To that end, I'm going to try not to respond to this thread so the day can end more peacefully.

I diagree with the cartoon and I don't even think its argument makes any sense... AND I think it's in poor taste to even post it today (in the paper, I'm talking about...not on LIF), let's remember and let's not be political.

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to think
Profiling is worse that the slaughter if innocent people

In memoriam, 9-11-2001"

Is this suppose to be ".......Profiling is worse then the slaughter of innocent people." ?

Not trying to be a smart a$$ just curious if I am crazy in thinking that the way it is posted doesn't make sense to me.
