A special someone wanted to let everyone be aware of the change.

when ron went to visit janet one night at the hospital, he was stopped by the front desk:
front desk: "Excuse me sir, can I help you."
Ron: "Oh, it's ok, I just forgot my stethoscope upstairs"
with that, he proceeded to the elevators. no visitors pass needed for "The Doc" aka Mr. Stethoscope.....

Yes, paramedics use stethoscopes from time to time! At least I did for the 14 years I rode an ambulance!
So that's where you learned how to give your first victim/patient CPR?? right after they saw you in this:
