LIRR SERVICE UPDATE and pic of the smoke from the fire
Due to a brush fire adjacent to the Deer Park Station and damage it caused to the LIRR signal system, train service east of Farmingdale has been temporarily suspended.

Its on News12 right now, there is a small fire right up against the tracks. There is a TON of smoke but also a lot of flames too - so still active fire. Electricity was cut to some of the area too.

You could take the Port Jefferson line to Northport too - Northport station is about a 15-20 minute drive from Deer Park.

Another update - Sagtikos Pwky is closed in both directions over there and so is Pine Air drive.

No E Npt hasnt been effected at all - you could see the smoke but the fire was about 20 mins away
