The Glass Castle -- Jeannette Walls

I'm half way through it and damn what a depressing, heart breaking story.

6/20. Just finished this book and I can not believe the conditons these kids lived in and what they had to deal with with these parents. To make it out of that upbringing to be successful humans is pretty miraculous.
Well written book but damn it was depressing.

The Marriage Lie by Kimberly Belle

It was excellent!!

I just picked this up today because of your post1

Ets: finished it last night. 2 days is probably the fastest I ever read a book. But I didnt want tp put it down. Really really good!

I've been curious about this book because it got mixed reviews. But glad to hear you guys say it was great.
I like books that are page turners, that you can't put down, that you are sad when it ends. Maybe I'll try it next.

I'm 40% done and so far I haven't found it to be a page turner at all. I've found it somewhat boring.

This, pretty much word for word. It's okay, I'll finish it, but it's not a page-turner for me.

The last page-tuner I read was The Woman in the Window. I couldn't put that book down.

Thats what the reviews say for the most part.

Maybe I'll check out the Woman in the Window

I thought it was written really well. But their story was just so depressing to me. I mean i grew up in a pretty screwed up dysfunctional family but what those kids went through was some serious neglect and abuse. And how nobody stepped in. Those parents needed some serious help.

Signs, by Laura Lynne Jackson

She's AMAZING. Also loved The Light Between Us (her first, which was a personal memoir.)

Finished Magpie Murders, by Anthony Horowitz (really fun if you like mysteries)

Now I'm reading Educated, by Tara Westover. I feel like everyone I know already read this, but now I understand why. I can't put it down. It's an incredible true story.

Just finished Verity. Started yesterday too.
Sooo good and disturbing.

Any recommendation that's a good page turner like Verity?

Was reading way too many psychological thrillers and they all started to sound the same, so i went for something fun. The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren. Cute book.
