Not trying to be a brat...but what if she did...what would/could you do at that point?
Yell at her?
Threaten her?
For her, a little yelling from you might be just fine.

I have never thought a man who does not want a child and tries to protect himself during intercourse should be held accountable. As said, accidents happen, men get tricked. This is a lifetime, lifechanging decision for both a man and a woman. If a woman decides she wants to continue a pregnancy that wasn't planned, why should the man be held accountable if he was not looking to become a father? Just because a woman decided that she wanted to be a mother? Where is that fair?
I agree 100%. According to the article it sounds as if he was tricked.

You raise some good points.
But, let's say, just for argument's sake  , that you are successful in your requirement that the girl have the baby instead of aborting.
Let's say that during the pregnancy, there is no indication that the mother's life is in danger (otherwise we end up having a new debate). But, during childbirth, the mother dies.
Do we charge you with murder? After all, the woman wanted to abort and it was because of your decision that she had the child and subsequently died. Shouldn't you be held accountable for all of the repurcussions of your decision?
