Angelinas in Lynbrook is my favorite italian restaurant and its kid friendly...every time i go home (i live in VA) i insist on going there :)

My favorite restaurant is Rigatoni in RVC (across the street from Dodici). I go there almost every time I go home to visit my parents. DH loves it too. I haven't been to Dodici in years, but it's pretty good. Blue Moon in RVC (down the street from Dodici) has good pizza and sanwiches. Sole in Oceanside is also great. La Parma (family style) is good too. Da Ugo (Northern Italian, $$$) in RVC is also great.

I love Sole, great food and so reasonable. But it gets very crowded so be prepared to wait for a table.
Angelina's IMO is very loud because of the tin ceiling -- I went with mom last week and we had to yell to be heard. Also pretty casual.
Broadway Beanery in Lynbrook is yummy - Atlantic Ave.
I love Maxx's and the Thai restuarant in RVC. Not crazy about Blue Moon - I had a bad experience there.

It's our favorite!!
Best part, every bottle of wine on the menu is $20!!
Funny, we loooove this place and I always want to recommend it but it's sooo hard to get into that I hesitate to tell more people about it  (selfish, I know). Don't want to share my good thing. Obviously, everyone seems to know already, huh. But, truly our favorite restaurant on Long Island.

ehem...I said it was OK...maybe it was cuz my taste buds are just returning...but it was OK, but I LOVE the fact that all the bottles of wine are 20 bucks AND you can take it home with you if you don't finish (and because manly DH doesn't drink wine, I am drinking a glass RIGHT noe)

Angelina's is on Atlantic avenue in Lynbrook...not far from the movie theatre on Merrick Road
I also LOVE Sole. Its really yummy and they present the food really nicely as well.
