Finally heard from the hospital... Updated 10/20/06
Its official my beta levels dropped from a 185 to a 136. They said that the baby wasn't developing normally and thats what caused me to miscarry.
They said that I have to get down to a 0 level for us to start trying again and that normally takes between 2-3 weeks. I have to go in next week for more bloodwork just so they can continue to monitor my levels.

Update: Got the results from my 2nd blood test. Levels took a big dip from a 136 to a 33. Have to go back in about 10 days for one more blood test. The doctor feel that the next blood test my levels will defintely be back down to 0 and we can start trying again.

I'm sorry again Did you stay on the Metformin when you found out you were PG?

Yes, I actually asked the doctor about this and I will be on it until I have a baby.

Same thing happened to me. My BETA was down to zero in about 10 days or so.
I am so sorry to hear the news. I know the feeling....stay strong!

God bless you and your DH. I only hope your time to try again will be short and successful.
No one really knows what to say to help comfort you. When my DH and I lost ours the beginning of the year I was both inconsolable and hopeful all at the same time. I rationalized why it happened...how it was for the best and how it would be better the next time but at the same time I couldn't stop blaming myself.
Please do something to pamper yourself and reconnect with your DH.
I am so sorry but send heartfelt hugs.
