where in Fairfield is it? I have a pink sapphire ring- it's not my style- and I would like to reset it- the pink sapphire is a little over a carat and is oval as well- I'd love to take in there- any info would be great (either here or FM)

My Mom did the same thing with her original e-ring stone- she upgraded   (the HORROR!!!).
I looove the look, and I'm in the process of having my solitaire pendant reset into something like that.

I don't understand the drama- even if the situation was that a parent had passed on and left you a ring, what is the big deal???People are wacky!
I think people assumed that my mom (or Dad) must have passed away. I guess they thought it should be left alone and that it's wrong to "upgrade". At any rate, I have my own e-ring, so what am I going to do with 2 diamond rings. Well, I do have 2 hands . But, I like the overall "effect" of having 1 ring and 1 pendant as opposed to 2 rings.
I agree. It's amazing what some people will create drama over... really, don't they have anything better to do? No, well they can have some things from my list and hopefully that will shut them up
The pendant is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!
I agree with your decision 100%. I inherited my mom's china and it was sitting in boxes for 22 years in my Dad's attic. One day, about 6 years ago, I went into the attic got all of it down, hand washed three place settings and my Dad, my brother and I had our regular dinner on them that night (nothing fancy). Some people couldn't believe I served hamburgers on it but it was not bought 40 years ago to sit in a box in my Dad's attic.
Of course, even though the ring is not being used for it's original intention the pendant is much better than having it sit in a box... it's gorgeous and you will get so much enjoyment out of it.

My Aunt left me her engagement ring when she passed away 20 years ago. I did the same thing with her diamond and wore it on my wedding day. It also sat in a box for 20 years, now I wear it all the time.
