"But a LOT of RE's wont see you untill you have been through a battery of tests or at least tried to come up with a solution with your OBGYN..and a lot of OB/GYN's are very very good..some are so-so...I dont think its fair to say every women should immediatly go see a RE right away. "
I can recommend several REs...they don't require you to go through.....an ob/gyn. They are ob/gyns!!!! They are ob/gyns with extra training, with the endocrine system and can perform advanced procedures...if necessary! I am only here to help people.....do what you think is best for you. Some people have their own belief system.....I am not here to change it, I am here to educate.

and here I thought it was because you were trying to conceive.
Makes sense that you are only here to educate though since you don't every really post anything about yourself...you even avoided the thread where we are all sharing information about ourselves.

Like I said, I have an internal exam on Tuesday, then more blood work and then the endometrial biopsy so I will look into a RE after that

Best of luck with that. It doesnt hurt at all. It is like having a pap smear

Diane, The biopsy doesn't hurt? I had one done years ago when I had precancerous cedlls on my cervic - and (TMI) they went in with this little claw-like looking thing and literally BIT our chunks of lining for the biopsy!

No, like I said it felt like having a pap smear.
Maybe they went a little deeper in your situation because they wanted to get all those bad cells gone.

Kathy- do you have the TCOYF book? It mentions this there, and I think I read someone where that its not a "true" biopsy..meaning they dont need the level of cells such as is involved in a cervical biospsy with pre cancerous cells.
Also, having I think like 6 ( lost track) cervical biopsies, the time of the month involved with those actually tends to the amount of pain. Because I had a few very painful ones like you described and some that did not feel bad at all...the dr said the position of the cervix on that day could determine pain.
SO..the point of my always long stories is I do not think it will be as painful as you expect!
