Prayers needed again! UPDATED: He's having the transplant!!!
My father, who has been on dialysis since after my wedding last year, just got a call from Mt. Sinai saying that they may have a kidney for him! It's between him and one other person. The woman wasn't sure who was first on the donor list. My parents are waiting to hear back, and will then go into the city. If he is the recipient, he will have a kidney transplant tomorrow morning.
Please pray that my father gets this kidney. Thank you!!

Thank you ladies...I am getting so nervous abotu what is going to happen. I hope he gets the kidney, but then of course, I'm nervous about the surgery and the transplant being successful.
Between this and the stuff going on with my grandmother being diagnosed with cancer, I think i'm going to go nuts.

My mom JUST called - my dad is having the transplant!!! Please continue to keep him in your prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are doing wonderful things with kidney transplants now. My boss was really bad and needed one badly and had one last year, and after a couple of months he was as good as new, just perfect. I hope the same for you!

Wow... I can totally relate! My dad has been on dialysis for about 4 years now and he's trying to get onto the FL wait list because NY is taking too long (by the time his name comes up he'll be too old to get approval for the surgery)... it's the most trying, depressing, and painful experience in the world. It must be so wonderful to know that you're dad and the rest of the family won't have to worry about this anymore!!!
