Ten years ago...
where did you see yourself and how different was that vision...
Fo instance, ten years ago I wanted a job exactly where I am, but I thought that I would be single until 30 with kids at 35 and be a TOTAL career woman...
Instead I was engaged at 23, married at 25, and had a baby at 28...

Tens years ago I was a flight attendant. I honestly thought that I would still be living overseas.
Now I'm married, have Emma, and a 9 to 5 job. Go figure!

Ten years ago I was dating my first husband. I never would have thought I'd be married twice by the age of 31!

10 years ago I was going into my sophomore year at UAlbany and the furthest I looked in the future, was what bar/party I was going to that night . ..

Ten years ago, I was 14.
I thought I would have gotten a college degree, and I thought I would be single until my late 20's.
Reality: Didn't go to college, married at 23.
Very different from what I planned, but I am happy with the outcome. Except the degree part.

10 years ago, I was 17 and about to enter my senior year of high school. My life blew apart that year so the goal to go to any Ivy league school didn't quite pan out.
Thought I'd be working on my phd now - that didn't happen either!
Marriage was so far from being a goal, yet I was married at 26.
At that age I thought I'd write a book 'someday' but someday came at 24. Go figure.

I would have been married to a different guy had I let the relationship go further, then subsequently divorced because he was too close to his parents. From that moment on I vowed NEVER to date a mama's boy again.

wow 10 years ago I was 22, still in school for teaching and partying hard!!! Working to pay for a new outfit and $$ for going out. just got into bartending.
was in a bad relationship and very naive about it.
i remember not too long b4 that our college prof made us write a letter to our future selves for the year 2000. I saw myself as 27 married with two kids inthe business field...
married at 30 to someone who was exactly like my very first relationship and completely WRONG for me. annulled at 31... have learned many life lessons in those 10 years....
i heard a quote the other day..

I was a party girl who just moved into her own apartment. It got tired quickly and I wanted to get married. I thought I'd be married by 30, kids at 32.
Reality: I married at 35 and am trying ttc, but no luck.

10 yrs ago my life was soooo different..
I was 26. I had just broken up with my long-time, live in ex a few months prior..
I was getting used to being single again and trying to get over how much he'd hurt me  but at the same time wasn't sitting home dwelling on it. I had just found an apartment and was going out EVERY NIGHT and dating like a maniac  (I tried to do all the things I hadn't done in my earlier 20s when I was tied down to him  and I went a bit overboard!)
If you'd told me I'd be married and expecting a baby in 10 yrs, I'd have laughed. I was 100% "sure" I was NEVER getting married

10 years ago I was coming out of an eight year relationship with who I thought was the only guy I would ever love. I was simply devastated. I thought I would end up being that old lady with 50 cats!!
Who knew by the next year I would meet the true man of my dreams

10 years ago I was entering my senior year in HS so of course life was VERY different
Didn't have any future plans besides going to college the year after. I don't really know what I thought about marraige or careers. All I knew was I hated science and I hated math...
Fast forward:
I found DH at 18 my freshman year and knew immediately he was the one
Fell in love with science my freshman year as well and am now doing my phd in genetics

Tens year ago I was 15, honestly I didn't know where my life was going to go, I don't think many 15 year olds do. Ask me 10 years from today and I'll have a completely different response.

ten years ago i was going into my senior year of HS.... I definetly thought I would be married and a teacher....so that worked out.....but I would have thought I would own a home and have at least 1 child by now.....some things take longer than what you plan on.

Ten years ago I was doing some serious re-evaluation of my life. I had just lost my mom to cancer a few months before and just found out my father had it, and he died later that year. I was single with no love life to speak of, in a different profession, and living in a different state.
I started thinking a lot about where my life was headed and what I wanted to do with it. I decided to make a change, and went back to school a year later. I am the same person in most ways that I was then, but my life has changed drastically.

C'mon Kelly - I can't remember last week, you want me to remember 10 years ago????? sheesh...
seriously....August 1996 - i had just separated from my first "husband" (if you can call him that) - and was adjusting to the fact that I was now a single mom - and resigned to the reality that I would NEVER get married again - nor have anymore children. However, God had other plans for me, and I for one am glad He's in charge after all is said and done!

10 years ago I was living in AZ with my best friend and another roomate having the time of our lives! When i was way younger I thought I would be married by 26 and kids by 28 but I got married at 31 and no kids yet

10 years ago i was 20 and thought i was in a wonderful relationship...but he dumped me after about 2.5 years. i thought we'd be married and living happily ever after.

Ten years ago, I couldnt wait for one more year till I turned 21. I dont think I even thought about 30 back then or what Id be doing? LOL
