My mom passed away last night
Last night my mom passed away after fighting a 9 year battle with breast cancer. The funeral is today, and I am so sad and angry that my mom never had a chance to meet her grandchild (I am 28 weeks,4days today). I urge everyone to continue going to their doctors to have routine mamograms.

Laurie, words cannot express how terribly I feel about your loss. You know that I love you and will do whatever I can to support you now and always.
Your mom will always be looking over and watching after you and your baby. Even though she won't be there to meet her grandchild, she taught you how to be a terrific mother by the way that she raised her two wonderful daughters. She raised two beautiful, caring, loving young women, one of whom I am so proud to call my best friend. I have no doubt in my mind that you are going to be an absolutely wonderful mommy, as you have learned from the best.
