I did - from 6th grade until 8th. They were the metal ones, and I remember it hurt like heLL when I had to get them adjusted. I couldn't chew anything!
I remember food getting stuck in my braces, not being able to chew gum or anything hard like apples, having to use that wax so that my mouth wouldn't get all cut up, and oh yeah, the rubberbands flying out of my mouth if I opened too wide! 
I also had to wear a nightbrace in addition to the braces. It wasn't easy to sleep with that thing on, especially when you're a side sleeper. And I would a lot of times wake up with drool all over my pillow
After I got the braces off I had to wear all kinds of retainers, upper and lower.
But I'm so glad I went through that whole ordeal because I have perfect teeth now 
that was my experience, pretty much to a tee!

I had to wear the big metal braces for about 4 years. I got them off at the end of Sophomore year in HS. They were a PITA, but I am so happy my mom made me get them.

I got them when I was 29! I wore them for 3-4 years and everytime I went, the technician tried to talk me into those colored rubberbands and would laugh and laugh.

YES! The big metal ones!
I wish I was smarter back then! When I got them off, I didn't wear my retainer. Well, now my bottom teeth are pretty darn crooked!

I had braces for 2 years. Got them off in 8th grade. So I didn't have to go to High School with them on.
I opted for the metal ones rather then the clear ones.

Same here. I always wanted them because I was the ONLY one of my friends who didn't have them.
How funny you girls say this.. I thought I was the only weirdo that did not need to wear braces but WANTED to when I was a kid.. ALL my friensd had them, it was like I was missing out on something
Oh course my parents were thrilled I did not need them

I had the metal ones for almost 2 years. I got them off the week before prom 
I actually really didn't mind them.. but I never got colors always silver to blend in with the metal

We were pretty lucky- me, my brother and sister never had them. Although my sister wishes she had them bc she says 2 of her teeth are crooked.

Big metal ones for two years 7-9th grade, early 80's
You kids today with your crazy colors, invisalign... when I was young I wore railroad tracks on my teeth and walked uphill both ways in the snow, year round
I'll never forget the time I ate an apple at lunch and then the love of my life, David C. walked passed me on my way to the ladies room. I mustered up the courage to smile at him. OMG, when I got to the mirror in the ladies room alll you could see was apple completely stuck to my braces. I was HORRIFIED.and tramatized
I just realized David C. was my first crush and I married David K. First and last kiss, both Davids
