I'm sooo sorry to hear this.
Science is so good nowadays that I'm certain they will be able to try to help her and heal.
Your family will be in my prayers and your little niece too.
At least it sounds like you are all very close and will have each other for support....and remember, you also have all of us....

Don I am so sorry. But know this right off the bat...kids are the toughest fighters when it comes to this. They don't fully understand it, so they just keep on fighting. One of my clients, who is also 3, was diagnosed with leukimia a few months ago. She has been hospitalized for long periods, receiving chemo and steroid treatments, she totally doesn't look like herself with all the treatments, but being in a room with her, you'd never know she was sick if it wasn't for the swelling and hair loss. Kids are sooo strong and she will get through this.
My cousin, was 8 at the time he was dignosed with cancer. He eventually had to have his leg amputated, at 8. Well, today he is a tough, playful 10 year old, running around playing soccer with his prostetic leg. It is AMAZING what kids can overcome!! I will definitely keep your cousin in my prayers. Luckily, childhood leukkimia has an excellent recovery/remission rate, with most kids never needing treatment later on in life!! Lots of best wishes for your cousin!!!

Oh Don, I am so sorry to hear this.
My prayers are with her and your entire family.
Things are so advanced now, they can work wonders.
My DH's nephew was diagnosed with leukemia at about the same age - he is now 15 and a very healthy boy.
