If u had to pay to post on LIF, would you?
I know that alot of people are weary of posting personal information or pics because of lurkers, which is totally understandable. I used to post on a chat forum that required a one time membership fee (which wasn't alot of money, but I guess it filtered out alot of 'lurking')... and it made me think, would any of you pay a membership fee to post on here?

The last time this question was asked, I said no.
Since then, seeing how the troublemakers in our lives have "eavesdropped" and hurt people, I've changed my mind. I think paying (not a whole lot) would discourage some of that and give us a little more privacy than is the norm on the internet.

Nope! Just watch what you say and post. Charging a small fee to use of the sight is not going to stop someone who really wants to spy/lurk.

No. I don't see why they can't just change it so people can't read any of the posts unless they register.
And if they could make the threads non-searchable on other search engines that would help things as well.
The only time I get freaked out is when I'm searching on something on google or yahoo and I click on something that brings me to my own thread.

i was thinking about this the other day. i really DO wish that they'd charge a fee- a one time thing- for like $5 or $10. that would discourage SO many of the fakies, and the lurkers.
i mean, even if you had to register to read the posts, thats easy enough to do, so that really doesnt filter it out that much.
and by making it a pay-for right... then it wouldnt show up when you google your screen name
