What happened to me last night...UPDATE Page 3
So I am leaving work last night and I am walking down some concrete stairs outside and I miss the last one and fall. I did everything not to land on my stomach( which I didn't) and in the process hurt my ankles.
After 5 hours in the ER I was told I broke both my ankles. My right is in a splint and a temporary fiberglass cast, my left is in an aircast and splint. Tomorrow I go to get a cast on one if not both ankles. I am in excruciating pain when I try to walk, even with the assistance of crutches.
I am not bleeding or cramping, which is good. Tomorrow I also go to the Obgyn for an exam....please send some prayers that everything will be alright.

Sorry about your pain. Are you out of work now on disability. I never heard of breaking both ankles. I hope you get better soon!

Sorry about your pain. Are you out of work now on disability. I never heard of breaking both ankles. I hope you get better soon!
Not sure what work will give me because I was only working per diem, so not sure what I am entitled too.

Oh...hang in there. Just keep positive thoughts for the baby. I am sure the doctor will tell you all is all right. And stay off your feet and watch unlimited lifetime movies and post on the thread about good ones on NFR!

OMG how horrible!! Please take care of yourself and that precious baby. Do whatever the doctors tell you! Don't mess around. I injured my ankle a few years back (2nd degree sprain) and I didn't go to P/T and I'm STILL paying for that decision. I can't imagine both ankles

OMG...I cannot believe that!!! I am so sorry that this has happened to you. I can't even imagine how painful breaking BOTH ankles is...
