Good luck with your nutritionist. I see a nutritionist once every other week. She helps tremendously! I think twice before I put something in my mouth. But, I am still gaining weight steadily, so don't be surprised if you still gain. Like all the other ladies said, every person and every pregnancy is different.

Hmmmm, I personally would change doctors. Your weight gain is not at all strange or unhealthy. there are women who gain more than that in your weeks. Did you take your 1 hour yet? why would he threaten you like that? there are many overweight people who dont have diabetes or HP. Did your BP go up from last time to threaten high BP? C-section? c'mon on a babystory there are plenty of overweight woman having those babies vaginally!!!

Janice, I have to say that I'm shocked at how your doctor spoke to you. I really don't like that your doctor practicaly "threatened" you with problems in your pregnancy and/or a c-section just because he was unhappy with your weight gain (which I do NOT think is bad, by the way..)

I know that some doctors are more anal about the weight gain issues than other doctors are.. but really, he could have just brought up the nutritionist idea and left it at that - no need to make you think that you were having an unhealthy preganncy just because he feels you are gaining too much

Make sure you are happy with this OB if you are to continue with them and their practice.. I do not think any of us should be made to feel badly about gaining weight in pregnancy when otherwise our babies and WE are doing well

Like I have said before I gained ALOT of weight with both and I had 2 vaginal deliveries (w/o drugs)
Some people just gain alot when they are pregnant
I wasnt CRAZY overeating either I just gained alot
dont stress about it sweetie
