does your DH talk to your belly?

Mine really doesn't. He's not the most expressive person to begin with, so I guess he's just not comfortable with it. In fact, he doesn't touch my stomach really unless I ask him to because the baby is poking me or has the hiccups or something. I'm hoping he gets a little mushier when the baby is born. I come from a very affectionate, lovey family so it's a little odd to me that DH isn't like that. I tell him all the time that I'm going to make sure he kisses the baby and tells him that he loves him every single day.

Every night as soon as he gets home from work. It is so cute!

He doesn't really talk to my belly....but if I burp or something, he will ask, is that you or Mollie? Or, if I decide I want something particular to eat...he will ask me who's decision that was...mine or Mollie's. He will kiss her goodnight though.

Nicole my DH is just like yours. He seems really excited about the baby, but he'll only touch it if I put his hand there and talk to it - not really!!. Once in a blue moon he'll kiss my belly when he leaves for work.

Last night we went to see Superman and he was talking to my stomach saying "Peanut, did you like that movie? Peanut, that was not a great version of Superman, but there are others" he gets a little carried away with himself.

DH is talking to my belly and kissing it already. Its kinda weird.

he tells her what goes on- like what happened that day, etc.

Yes, he has long discussions with the baby at night, usually explaining why he/she must go to sleep and that the dancing and partying must stop. I think he's just practicing for the teenage years.

he talks sometimes but he mostly rubs and kisses it. he always gives a kiss before he leaves for work.

He mostly touches my belly but sometimes he talks to it too....if I give the baby a little nudge to make him kick, DH gets nervous that I'll hurt the baby from poking him!

Yes all the time. He goes straight for the belly as soon as he comes in and says goodbye to her when he leaves for work. The other night he sang the ABCs to her. It's really cute!

Not really. Like Nicole and Jodi, only if I ask him to. Sometimes I say "why don't you talk to him" and he says, I don't have to talk to him, he knows I'm thinking about him

Hardly this time around... with Caiden he did all the time. He was soooo different with the first PG. I guess when the 2nd one comes around you start becoming a bit more relaxed about things. He'll still rub my belly and stuff, but nothing like he was with Caiden.

Oh yes. He'll put his face right up to my belly and go 'HI BABY!', and give my stomach raspberries and talk to it occasionally.. Esp when we watch TV. He once or twice (when I was smaller) would mush his face in my belly. He said he wanted his son (we have no idea the sex, just wishful hoping from him) to know what he looks like.

He's a weirdo, but a cute one :)

He never really did it until last week right before he left for his trip. I thought it was so cute

He doesn't really talk to my belly, no.. At night he'll put his hands on it to see if he feels kicks but as far as talking it's only if I URGE him to do so.. then when he does talk to him it's like "Hey kid, what's up .. how are things.. what's shakin" Sooo stupid

I know he thinks it is a little weird to talk to him and will say "but he doesn't understand me yet.." HOWEVER when I swear or raise my voice or use any sort of 'foul' language he'll say "WATCH YOURSELF the BABY can HEAR YOU" UMM okkkkkkay ...

This is going to be an interesting experience when he's born

Nope he never did. It's just not something I would expect my DH to do.

mine does...all the time now...and he urges her to come out now too....he's so excited - but sometimes I am more like "ok, can we do this later?"

My DH never really talked to my belly - but he did sing to my belly. DH is the type of person that sings songs that he makes up the words to and he used to sing these type of songs to my belly.
And now that Alison was born, she LOVES it when daddy sings
