I have no idea why I didn't update this yesterday, my apologies.
So we met with another neuro surgeon yesterday to get a second opinon. Second opinons always make me nervous because I feel like if its completly different then the first that it will throw me in a complete tail spin. However, I do know that they are certainly needed! Especially in the face of what I am dealing with. Driving up to the facility I could already tell that I was not going to be as impressed as I was in the previous place and I wasn't.
However, I was told many of the same things by this doctor that I was told by the other one.
1. A few key tests are needed but MUST wait until after  is born
2. The tumor is "probably" non cancerous
3. Its in one of the worst spots it could possibly be in
4. It will require brain surgery to remove
5. I need to find the highest trained skull surgeon I can
Thats all for now! We met with the perinatolist next and then after that we are going to start meeting with some skull surgeons.

Thanks for updating us I am thankful they basically agreed with everything from your first diagnoisis meaning much less confusion as what to do and when to do it and you and Darren can focus on the surgeons. You truly amaze me Deb - what a lucky little boy Joey is to have such a strong Mommy.
Are you being monitored weekly to see if the tumor is still growing?

deb, you never cease to amaze me with your strength! 
I'm not sure if you are just looking at skull surgeons in FL, but i know of 2 in NY (Dr. Milhorat and Dr. Bolognese... both are at North Shore) that are considered to be 2of the best in the Country.... patients come from all over the country to see them.

I have not been on here for ages and just read about what you are going through.
I just wanted ot offer you some hugs
It sounds like you are doing eveything you can to juggle all thats around you. Stay strong and stay positive!!!!!!!
Also, if you are looking for a Dr. take a look @ these from NY Magazine- they have Dr's in NY, FL, NJ & CT:

Moe- You are sooo very sweet! Your post made me giggle because you have sooo much more to keep you occupied right now. How is that adorable little animal doing?
Donna- I can't get monitored to see if it is still growning because I would have to get CT scans and they don't want to do anymore radiation while I am still preggo. I'm gonna toot my own horn and say that I am amazed (and really VERY surprised) at how I am holding up so far. I think when surgery is a bit closer I might be a little more freaked out.
Neen- I am most certainly NOT just looking into Florida, I will go whereever ends up being hte best people for me. Thank you so much for the names, I will most certainly add them to my list of poeple to check into.
Everyone else (not to not single anyone else out) thank you for your continued support, your hugs, your prayers, your good thoughts and your FM's we really appreciate them.

DEB- You are amazing. Ya know I knew from the start unfortunatly that there was something major going on with you because you are so strong, you never complain or whine, and thats why I was always asking you how you were, you never talk much about yourself when you are feeling bad, so as soon as you did start to say you were in such pain, I personally knew it was something big cause you simply dont complain ...I feel so sad that someone like you who handles everything so well and with such grace has to deal with this awful confusing time and diagnosis. My heart goes out to you.
If you need any help researching Dr's in NY, you know I have a lot of access to Dr's background info at work....just let me know.
Thanks for the update...we all are here for you and want to do whatever we can to help.

Today we meet with the perinatologist to find out exactly when Joey can come out! Iam sooo excited to finaly start working on a timeline for all of this to get moving.
The appointment is at 1:15 and honestly it can't get here soon enough!
on a funny note. I am askingmy family to send me pictures for a slide show I am putting together to bring to the hospital...I got this one today!
Look how friggin young muffin man and I look!
