Need Stonybrook restaurant recommendations

We're probably going to be out there tomorrow and would like to have a nice dinner. However I don't know anything about the area. Can anyone suggest good places to eat? Thanks!Chat Icon

The Country House is good. If you want to go into Port Jeff there are a ton of restaurants - my favorite is Pasta Pasta!

Re: Need Stonybrook restaurant recommendations

There's a place on main street in the village, I'm drawing a blank on the name right now, it's white and has a fence and outdoor dining. I'm thinking the Village something or other.

I also recommend the dockside..... and the country house. There is also a couple of places in the village of stonybrook-can't remember the names of the places-I think it's a tea place or something.. also Toast in Port Jeff is good for breakfast! Chat Icon

Re: Need Stonybrook restaurant recommendations

The Country House is AMAZING! I go there as often as possible.

Not a fan of PJ Country Club (Villa Lombardi's), or the majority of restaurants in Port Jefferson.

I LOVE GREEN CACTUS!! Especially the one in Stony Brook!!

But, in Port there is Z Pita, which is casual and a little bit of everything, Danford's, and the Elk Street Grille which is yummy too.

I also love the Country House and the 3VI, but I haven't been to 3VI since it was taken over by Lessings.

Thanks everyone! We've narrowed it down to the Country house or Three Village Inn.
