I have 12 days left until my due date and I'm going insane! I went to the doc today and I'm 1 cm and 60% effaced. I hope that's a sign that she is going to come early. I had a sono on Monday and they were estimating her weight to be 8pds 14oz already!! I'm really petite (only 4'11) and fear she just isn't going to fit!! My nerves are really starting to get the best of me.

I wish all mommies to be quick and easy deliveries! We are almost there!!

Hi ladies, I don't post that much but check in with you all the time to see how everyone is doing. I have 1 week left and feel like it will be any day now, increasing BH, constant back ache/period cramps and going #2 way too often. I just wish I knew when he was coming but I think that's part of the excitement :) HOpe everyone's labor and delivery goes smoothly!!

Hi Ladies,

August mommy to be here also. I'm due on the 24th but my dr. said she will induce if I don't have the baby by next Thursday. I'm tiny and the baby is big and although it's nice to have a date, I am very uncomfortable and wish my little would come. I've been 70% efaced and the my doc says the baby continues to drop lower at each visit. No sign of a mucus plug but definitley getting on and off menstrual like cramps.

Well I tried sex last night and I dont' know if it was that or the full moon but I got some REALLY painful, real contractions (vs. the backache, period cramps and inconsistent BH I've been feeling all week). They are not regular yet though so I'm just hanging out waiiting....I hope they don't just go away again, I'm ready to GO!!!! :) I'm going to pick up some fresh pineapple today, heard that might trigger something...who knows....good luck to everyone who's almost there!!!!!

Me too. I'm trying everything. So far nothing that has been consitant. I just feel like she is never going to come! I go back to the doc next Wed and we will talk about options if I don't have by then. She is measuring really big so they won't leave her in past my due date THANK GOD!

I'm back from the doctor. I'm about 1 cm dialated. My cervix has moved down and forward as well as thinning out. So, any time now.

I know exactly what you are saying. Everytime I have to pee I hope my water breaks or something...but nope no sign!

Sorry maybe TMI but is anyone else going to the bathroom more often (#2)? I wonder if it is because the head is low and pressing on things or maybe it's the bodies way of preparing for labor?

Oh yeah, It's both. Baby lower and body getting ready. Everytime I go to pee if I'm not doing it(#2) I sure feel like it from the pressure. Started last Friday when the baby started dropping. So in other words it's normal. You may even experience bouts of diarrhea from it too. Sorry but that's all part of the wonderful way our bodies work.
When I had my son I was constantly going the whole day and hadn't eaten since the night before so I was pretty cleaned out by the time I was pushing him out so thankfully I didn't have that embarrassing moment in the delivery room ifo everyone. I;m hoping the same happens this time too!

Just wanted to chime in and wish all the August Mommies the best of luck! One of my best friends just went into labor last night...she was due on Tuesday. Hopefully today is her day!

Does anyone else feel like when you try to get out of bed that the baby is literally right there...it's actually a bit painful to get myslef out of bed.
