updated 8/5 - took 2nd pill
So I know I've been MIA a little, I just needed a break after we found out the IUI failed.
I went to my RE this morning for my CD3 blood work and sono. She is starting me on Clomid today. I dropped off the script on my way into work and I take my first pill tonight.
I have to go back next Thursday for another sono and more blood work to see where I'm at as far as Oing. Once I O, we'll try IUI again.
Just wanted to let you guys know.
And thank you again so much for all the kind words

Good luck!! I do recommend taking it at night, the sleep isn't great, but the symptoms during the day are more manageable.
Hope this is the last kick in the pants your uterus needs and next month is the BFP!!!

It is such a rough ride Kathy, and it is so strainging on the two of you, but when you get that BFB, it will be worth it.

OK, so now I got my answer to my question on your other thread. I hope you got your answer too.
Kathy, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. You shouldnt have to go through another month of disappointment. Hopefully you'll make some good eggies and one of them will have suction cups attached for good sticking.

So I took my first Clomid pill last night, after dinner, with lots of water (becasue I heard it dehydrates you and the instructions say to drink a lot of water).
Within 20-30 mins of taking the pill I felt like I was high! I was dizzy and light headed feeling. I also had a heaviness across my chest and my limbs felt like the weighed 1000 lbs. each. It also made me really tired but when I went to bed I was restless and couldnt stay still (even though I was exhausted).
So that was pill #1. No hot flashes yet...no headaches either.
Pauline, Yes I got my answers. I'm on Clomid for cd3-7 and then I go back to the RE next wk for another sono and blood work and they'll see how big the follies are getting.

Yuck! I'm sorry your symptoms were so uncomfortable. Hopefully this won't happen after each pill. I hope this Clomid does the trick for your next IUI and you get your BFP!!

Ugh Kathy, I am sorry that the Clomid is giving you so many symptoms already... BUT I hope that despite these symptoms, this will 'do the trick' and it will be allll worth it in a few weeks

Me too!
I think I would also call the doctor just to find out if she knows of anyone else who has ever exerienced a side effect such as that.

It's probably just me. I'm so sensitive to meds so I'm not surprised. I think tonight I will take it right before I go to bed instead of with dinner.

sorry for the side effects. I know when I was on it, I had bad headaches.
My friend took it, and she said she was so MOODY!!!!!
If it is so bad you should ask about Letrizole (femara) I had NO side effects, because it also leaves your system quicker.

it could be! headaches are a notorious with clomid.

Yeah I read that about headaches too. It went away after I had my cup of coffee. I don't feel as "angry" as I felt yesterday either. Maybe I just needed a day to adjust. Who knows. From what I've read, side effects can hit you at any time!

Glad to hear they are a little better! Clomid is one crazy ride, that's all I can say. I am kind of glad they are putting me on Femara this month.
