Not at all! It's in a great location.

I stayed there two years ago when my girlfriend got married in Vegas.

Re: Is Bally's Las Vegas yucky?

all old people. try Luxor. Excalibur is very inexpensive and its decent.

we dont like Ballys at all. i personally dont like that area of the strip either.

look inot Excalibur for a cheap place. otherwise for alittle bit more Luxor is great.

You should try the Alladin. We stayed there and it was the perfect location. The prices were very reasonable.

Re: Is Bally's Las Vegas yucky?

thanks everyone!

Welllll, we have 2 free nights at the Westin Casuarina Las Vegas Hotel, Casino & Spa from some timeshare thing we did last year, so we're planning on staying there 2 nights free. Its a pretty nice place - our friends stayed there a couple months ago. It's 1/2 block from the strip, close to Ballys.

We want to stay in a nice place for 1 night at the end of the trip - I didn't even look at Bellagio or Venetian b/c I thought they'd be crazy expensive.

So I'm looking to stay at a nice place on Wednesday 8/16 OR Thurs 8/17 for 1 night.

Well you are in luck because the bellagio is running a summer sale. $199 a night for midweek. It is available August 16th. I was just checking this out yesterday. Also Paris Las Vegas has this AWESOME romance package. I am thinking we might go for our anniversary

Romance Package
Have you ever wanted to say, "Meet me in Paris"? It is possible with the Romance Package at Paris Las Vegas.

Enjoy two nights in one of our Deluxe rooms. You two will dine in Le Provencal where our wait staff can be heard singing as they serve. When you return to your room, enjoy a split of champagne while showering yourselves in rose petals. Wake in the morning to breakfast in bed, and then visit the spa with your complimentary admission. Later that evening, ride to the top of the Eiffel Tower for a breathtaking view of Las Vegas.

But getting back to the Bellagio - go to www.bellagio.com and select promotions on the left hand side. You will see the calendar with the summer sale.

I have stayed at the Paris before and thought it was beautiful. Lots of awesome choices in Vegas.

I see you already made your decision but I just wanted to let you know....

Ballys is full of old people but its a very nice hotel -the room are huge - and remember you are only sleeping there - you can go to any hotel you want all day long.

Our favorite is the Ceasars though! I would definitely recommend it!

Re: Is Bally's Las Vegas yucky?

we always do what you are talking about...staying in the harrahs chain for rewards and comped rooms. My advice...in the chain you are reffering to I usually just stay at harrahs bc it is right in the middle. I dont love ballys but its okay. Remember ...you can still use all the other casinoas hooked with harrahs. (Ceasars, Flamingo, Paris, Ballys...did I misss one?) anyway last visit again we stayed at harrahs but for the first time went to flamingo...I have to say...that was VERY impressive.

Re: Is Bally's Las Vegas yucky?

Nic....If Ceasars or Paris is with your chain that you need to stay within..they are both great!!

Ceasars is tons of fun!!

Also...I've stayed in the Monte Carlo and it is very nice, and not as expensive.

I'm leaving this Thursday for Vegas...Staying at the Mirage!! We got a summer deal as well and its gorgeous!! Check it out!!!

Be careful...I went in august and it was 110 but like a hot oven...not humid but burning. Stock up on some water!

shorty...one more thing...whether you stay at ballys or not...we just went and they have "the price is right" game show in their forum. Tixx I think were 36 dollars but we got comped with our rewards card. You may or may not get called up based on if u answer questions correctly. The man at our table won a new car, big screen tv and much more. U should check it out even if u dont end up at ballys.

I highly reccommend Ceasars out of all of the one you listed.
