So how many people in YOUR office have gotten the obligatory bouquet of overpriced red roses from their DH or SOs?? I've seen at least 3 vases being delivered around these parts 
(meanwhile I probably will get my 2.99 bunch from the supermarket tonight, even though I told Anthony NOT to bother!!  )

I don't get Valentines day. What is the big deal? Shouldn't you be in love with that person every day? All I want from DH is a card and those candy hearts (luv them!!!). He never gives me cards! Even when he gives me gifts.
We just got back from a weekend away in Miami, and I am just  Valentines day or not.

Its so funny. I remember DH and my first Valentines Day. I got my hair and nails done. I bought a new outfit...He made reservations. We got each other expensive gifts... It was such a big deal.
Now, 6 years later, we are just going to go to dinner somewhere local. I will wear whatever I can still fit into that I don't wear to work. No gifts. No big deal.
I guess, when you are truly in love, you don't need a day to celebrate. Every day is Valentines Day.

I remember our first Valentine's Day six years ago. We had just started dating a few weeks before, but had it really bad for each other. DH gave me a card and some of the heart candies that were left at work. The card was one of those blank on the inside and he wrote in capital letters.. "THIS IS NOT A VALENTINE'S CARD! It is a thank you card. Thank you for filling these past few weeks with joy." It was the best unvalentine's day card I ever recieved.
