Please give me your opinion on this handbag! NEW: Another choice on p 2
Do you think it's classic or trendy? I kind of think it's in between and would last me a few years. What do you think? I need some opinions before I take the plunge (It's my grad gift to myself..or rather, what I'm spending grad gifts on)..
Also, I'd be getting it in blue, but I can't find a pic of the color.
How much use do you honestly think I would get out of it? I plan to use it as an everyday bag with jeans.
ETA:**I'm bumping for more opinions. I'm still undecided, and I'm so grateful to you ladies for talking me about of the LV with the cherries last year. I would have regretted that SO much. Also, it's about $300. It's a Michael Kors Image Attachment(s):

I think it's a beautiful bag. it has a classic design to it but the hardware on it IMO give it a more trendy look.
if you really like it, get it. it is your graduation gift!

I don't know if it's just this year - but I do think it's more of a trendy style and not what I would call a classic style.

white is in as well as gold right now...
but that will change...
don't buy if you are looking for a "classic" bag IMO

I really sort of love it, but it's a big expense if it won't last me a long time.
I don't need to have the latest handbag, so even if it's not totally "in" anymore, I'll still use it, as long as it's not "out"...I have a large tote (also Michael Kors) that I got on sale after the season and have used ALL school year for my books, and even into spring even though it was a winter bag. If I like a bag, I'll rock it as long as I can..
Any other suggestions?
ETA: I'm semi clueless, bc prior to this year, I only used really plain kenneth cole bags that lasted for years...I never had nice handbags before
Do you think I can use it for at least a year?

IMO...i don't think i would go for it...
In particular the gold....which i think has run its legth of time being in again...
How much is the bag?

the only coach bags I like are the ones with the bumblebees on them, and I know those won't last a long time!!!
I'm not a coach fan.
Maybe I'll look at another michael kors. His are all very trendy though.
I had originally kicked around the idea of buying myself the LV I want, but it's also a little trendy, and it's just too much money for me to spend on a handbag right now, gift or no gift, also I feel the Michael Kors is a lot sturdier and can stand up to my abuse. I can't tell you how much I kicked my tote around and it really took a licking and kept on ticking. One of my actors was playing with it and somehow ripped the lining  but that's easily fixable!

Everything I like is trendy, with the hardware again. It took me a long time to warm up to the hardware, and now I love it.
I don't know. I like kate spade, very simple, classic, clean lines, but for whatever reason, it's not what I'm looking for.
All of hte classic styles are striking me as too plain right now.

Well $300 is a lot for me. I almost spent $350 on a baby Louis with cherries last year, I was SO in love with it, but my LIW (this was pre LIF) helped me see the light. If I had gotten the cherries I would have hated it after 2 weeks. So I really do want opinions!
