what's the best thing that has ever happened to you?
definitely the birth of my daughter, it's amazing how much your life changes and how much love you can have for someone else.

The obvious one is meeting and marrying my DH
the other is the birth of my baby brother - my stepmom told me she was pregnant during a bad time in my life....that news was life-changing for me.

If you had asked me six months ago, I would have said meeting my DH was the best thing that ever happened to me. Now, it's that my father, while he's not 100% well just yet, is a cancer survivor.

The best thing that has EVER happened to me was being in an abusive relationship. I know this sounds crazy, but I will tell you that had I NOT been in that relationship, I would still be taking so many things for granted and would not have realized that I needed to become the strong, independent person I am today. I NEVER in a million years would have dated JT before I was in that horrible relationship. It made my outlook on life more realistic and positive.

Congrats for being so strong and brave.
I just honestly think it was something I HAD to go through. It was my rock-bottom.

Me too... breast cancer... scariest thing I've ever gone through and it wasn't even me! Second to that is meeting DH...

The best thing that has ever happened to me was getting laid off from my 100k a year job.... really made me see that money does not guarantee happiness- i'm MUCH happier now making less $$$ than I was then.
