i just read it. and if you read it in the context, it seems like she was just adding an insult b/c she was bitter about what she saw. it had nothing to do with the girl...

When I originally read that post, I did not understand why she had to add that the girl was fat. Would it have been any different if the girl was skinny? I thought the comment was completely uncalled for! JMO
IMO i think it is just the anger that is there after being soo hurt by that..
so of course she used a nasty word to describe it
i really do not see it as "uncalled for"
she wasn't talking about anyone here
so who really cares

I did see this post and I saw her comment. They were both just expressing themselves. Not all of us are thin - so reading a comment like "and she was fat girl" or whatever it said is a bit harsh. What does it matter if she was fat or thin?

i agree. i HIGHLY doubt that if i walked in on my guy banging some chick, that i'd be trying to find politically correct words to call her or him. all looks are relative anyway, so who cares about semantics. really. I'm sure we've all called someone either fat, skinny, tall, short, ugly, average.. etc... in our lifetime. thats what adjectives were invented for

I think the person was bitter and had the girl not been heavy, she would have found SOME quality about her that she didnt like and harp on that instead.

Ok, I confess, its was ME  who made the comment. I've already apologized to those I may have offended with my comment, so I hope it can die here. I NEVER meant to offend or insult anyone. As I typed that sentence, my anger and rage were still with me, clear as it was 12 years ago 
In hindsight, it was insensitive of me to post that about that girl, so I apologize. Most of the posts here hit the nail on the head, it was just anger.

I think she was just expressing herself, but it did come across as her being even more outraged that her boyfriend cheated with a GASP fat girl! I can see how it would offend some people though it didn't offend me. Obviously those who are fat are going to think the comment was insensitive.
ETA: Ooops. Sorry, just realized the above post. If I had seen it before I posted, I would have refrained, and let it die.
