Will you not see a certain movie b/c of the actors personal life?
for example--i currently LOATHE....
brad pitt
angelina jolie
katie holmes
tom cruise
jude law
sienna miller
it def... affects whether i would see there movie--i cant even look at them, they kinda make me annoyed

Yes. Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon are on my list.
Edited to say thaqt I have seen movies with both of them, but I would dfinitely think twice before seeing the movie.

I totally agree about these two. And i can't stand Katie Holmes (but i think that is more because of her performance in Batman).

i actually liked that movie...
IMO who they are and a movie they make are completely separate things...
when i see a movie i don't think of the actor, i think of the character.

It depends...sometimes I can't suspend my disbelief because I can't stand the person....like Tom Cruise....I can't watch him, even in movies I've seen a hundred times, like Rainman, I watch it and all I can think about it Oprah's couch...

Yeah, he's pretty a tool, IMO. What he did really skeeves me, but I still rent his movies.
I am more disgusted by Tom Cruise and I don't see myself ever seeing any of his movies. But that has more to do with hating the sight of him, as opposed to his stance on certain issues.

Tom Cruise.
I know he is an actor and is playing a role when in a movie, but I just can't get past the crazy couch-leaping, post partum depression bashing behavior. He now officially nauseates me and I can't watch any of his movies.

Unless he comes up with something great- I agree. He is just not that good an actor. I saw War of the Worlds and all I could think of was him jumping on the couch 
But he is probably the only one I could think of...

I agree ... if I didn't see a film or show based on all the actors/actresses I disliked, I would never watch anything!
I just saw Mr & Mrs Smith this past weekened and really enjoyed it (but then again, Im not in the "I Hate Brad and Angelina fan club" anyhow... I dont LOVE 'em but I certainly don't hate them...)

They are celebrities that I just don't like or am not in to and I'll avoid their movies---but probably not because of what goes on in their personal lives. Maybe.
For example, not a fan of Jude Law. Wouldn't rush out to see any movie of his. Now it comes out that he's a cheater, does it change my opinion even more? I'm not sure.

Not b/c of the actors, but I will not see two director's movies: Roman Polanski and Woody Allen. I think they're both disgusting (Roman being worse) and I refuse to contribute to their wealth.

I feel the same re: Roman Polanski. The Pianist could have been the greatest movie of all time, I will just have to go on without seeing it. The man is a horror. I cannot believe that Hollywood was that forgiving.

About Roman Polanski- I do see his movies... but what I found disgusting is that he sued and won in a civil case for defamation for a paper claiming that he was hitting on a stewardess while his wife was being murdered.
I don't think you should be able to sue for $$$ when you left the country to avoid criminal charges.

Totally. I think it's outrageous that he was even allowed to make this movie let alone be nominated for an Oscar for it. He's a damn rapist who fled the country to avoid prison - he's a POS, in my book.
